Marin’s San Quentin 3 is an aggressive hardtail that’s built for all day trail shredding and hitting the jump line on the way down. A 6061 Aluminum construction allows the San Quentin 3 to keep the overall weight down and stiffness high, resulting in a ride quality that perfectly compliments the agile nature and riding characteristics of the geometry. As for the geometry, you’ll find that the San Quentin 3 takes design cues from Marin’s cult classic Alcatraz dirt jumper in the form of a high standover and playful riding style. A steep seat tube angle and balanced rider position allows the San Quentin 3 to fly uphill while the 65-degree headtube angle is confidence inspiring when it’s time to point it back down the hill. With the 27.5” wheels paired with the DJ inspired geometry you won’t be able to resist the urge to send the San Quentin 3 off of every jump that you see. Throw in clean internal cable routing, a semi integrated headset, and a threaded bottom bracket and you’ve got a modern playful hardtail that’s ready just plain fun to ride.
